This is the build I created myself for my fire ele. It works very nice in both pve and ab. I can take out all shrines alone, but dont have any chanse against good interrupter.

You got a couple of random skills on that, and no attunement.
Mind blast is okay for AB but since it's single target there are better options.
[searing flames][searing heat][teinai's heat][glyph of lesser energy][rodgort's invocation][aura of restoration][fire attunement][flame djinn's haste]
[savannah heat][searing heat][immolate][glyph of lesser energy][rodgort's invocation][glowing gaze][fire attunement][flame djinn's haste]
[searing flames][searing heat][teinai's heat][glyph of lesser energy][rodgort's invocation][glowing gaze][fire attunement][flame djinn's haste]
Try these.
Glyph is for Rodgort's or SF.
You can sub in meteor if you really, really want to.
Cast heat spells on big clumps / shrines.
Lots of big nukes on the enemy mob makes you win the fight.

Haha, me and my friend were running a sin&monk (like we usually do) because ganking is fun ^^
Ended up running a pair of builds that look like this;
[Wastrel's Collapse][Frenzy][Falling Spider][Horns of the Ox][Falling Lotus Strike][Twisting Fangs][Return][Dash]
and
[Patient Spirit][Word of Healing][Dismiss Condition][Cure Hex][Holy Veil][Sprint][Grapple][Bull's Strike]
It was so awesome because he bull's a sin running away, then i returned to him, falling spidered, and then my friend grappled him, so I just went straight to lotus and then twisting... >=D
I can bet that sin was just like... WTF JUST HAPPENED TO ME?!!?

A/D Wounding Strike-Golden Phoenix Strike-Horns of the Ox-Falling Lotus Strike-Blades of Steel-Malicious Strike-Whirling Charge-Optional

How on earth is it 'another concept'? Have you checked under 'variants'?
Mo/A KD smiters have been around for as long as I care to remember.

Don't bother, play water magic, seriously, it's beyond sadistic
Me/E annoying wacky snare build
[Lyssa's Aura]
[Water Attunement]
[Ether Feast]
[Armor of Mist]
[Deep Freeze] / [Ice Spikes]
[Freezing gust]
[Blurred Vision]
[Glowing Ice]
Bring a 40/40 set, and a +20 enchant mod. This doesn't really nuke, but meh, all melee, rangers and whatnot will cry. Just be sure to bring a real damage dealer along.
Yesterday I deep-freezed about 6 people that were capping right before they wanted to jump the ele shrine, epic ^^.
You can bring maelstrom if you want instead of some skill, I personally didn't bother much because you can cap alright with a ranger and a hammer warr on your team.

Dunno about kappa-mesmers, it's probably gvg-ish and that's not really my cup of tea. This template works fine though. It's easier to keep lyssa's up in, say, RA though, because in AB you got downtime due to running from a to b, but a 40/40 inspiration set solves it more or less.
It's utility is great, damage is a bit piddy (doesn't even scratch those melandru's shot gays) but it's meant for using paired with a decent damage dealer and the snares are deadly.

I came up with a dervish build last year that I really like a lot. It's not overly heavy on damage, but since pretty much everyone else builds for damage anyway, it's good support. It has tremendous survivability, which comes in handy when capping a contested altar.
The build is Featherfoot Grace, Vital Boon, Mystic Regeneration, Conviction, Wounding Strike, Crippling Sweep, Victorious Sweep, and Pious Restoration (which makes hexers cry). Basically I use Featherfoot as a crude condition defense, and spam crippling sweep on my target to ensure that I'm landing as many hits as possible. I tend to let my teammates deal most of the damage but Wounding + Victorious Sweep is a decent finisher once the target gets low enough. Pious makes me more or less immune to hexes, but conditions can be a problem sometimes. It also allows me to pull off a huge self-heal by yanking Vital Boon, which I try to make sure it always on top.

I've been running this build for the past few weeks. I've had lots of success with it.
Rt/A
13 Resto, 13 Channeling, 7 Spawning
Xinrae's Weapon
Mend BaS
Essence Strike
Warmonger's Weapon
Wielder's Remedy
Dash
Bloodsong
Recuperation
Great for controlling conditions and relieving pressure from my monk + dealing decent damage and good ol' fashion warmongers rape.

Reaper's Mark, Vapor Blade, Glyph of Immolation, Steam, Freezing Gust, Water Attunement, Rend Enchantments, Gaze of Contempt.
It could spike bad players badly.

Amazing damage at start of skirmish, though it lacks sustained warrior pressure during longer engagements, which aren't that common in AB.
Catch an unprotted monk with Bull's -> sever -> gash -> final and its dead.

Posted this build before, but with the WoH and PnH nerf in the last update, it is not completly out-classed anymore.
[life sheath] [reversal of fortune] [Patient Spirit] [Heaven's Delight] [deny hexes] [Guardian] [Signet of Rejuvenation] [shield bash]
RoF is kind of an optional skill, some times replaced with protective spirit. Also you have to be carful not to stack it with LS. Generally I rotate to 2 skills so I can focus LS on condition removal. Always pre-port. especially with all the distort eles running around with rodgarts.
Patient for red bar filler.
I just dont like cure hex so depending on the battle I try to cast heavens delight, the necro's and mesmers in ab generally dump all their hexes on you or 1 other target so the duel hex removal is nice. Also because all you spells are 1/4 cast except for deny my HCT set is divine favor.
Guradian, awsome... This is the only reason to have HCT for the prot line.
Signet or rej. One of my fovorite skills, keeps you and the team alive just long enough after you get hit with backfire, VoR ect at a really bad time.
Shield bash, just as great as it felt to dshot old aegis in gvg this is mostly for the LoL and that good feeling. Hardly anyone sees it comming. A bit redundent with guardaian but I love it anyways.

Note i usually play in alliance/friendlist teams that bring ele with "Fall Back!", no speedbuff in AB hurts imo so i would adapt accordingly.

Primal Rage Scythe
Attackers' insight
Lyssa's assault
Pious assault
Body blow
Bull's strike
Primal Rage
Rush
13 strength / 12 scythe / 6 wind
Notes:
The combination of attackers' insight plus the dervish attacks makes you deep wound + use two 10 energy attacks for a net gain of 5 energy. Only problem is body blow and other warrior attacks will eat attackers' insight.
Last slot is open, if it was for lame wiki I'd put in lion's comfort, but lion's comfort fails so I'll probably put in protector's strike because it'll hit for like 140 against a kiter, it'll make rush hard to reach but REALLY WHO EVER CANCELS ANYWAY. Good answer might be Conviction/ Shield Bash, but defense is for pussies.
This build killed the Master of Healing first try in 4 hits, but I haven't tested it in ab yet.
Old idea (for me anyway), I think it sounds pretty awesome, might run Sentinels because it sounds like a good idea suddenly.
Mako: I'd put another axe attack instead of shock.
